Action 2 - Irish Culture and Civic Participation

As part of the project's aim to promote greater understanding of Irish history and culture among new communities, the Project has contracted Dr. Elaine Byrne, Trinity College Dublin, to design (in consultation with the Project) an information workshop promoting awareness and understanding of Irish political system, culture, norms and values of Irish society. Dr. Byrne will deliver the workshop four times over the life of the project in each of the four Dublin Local Authorities.

Those members of new communities targeted for attending are already community leaders and/or representatives of faith based organisations and are identified through the Integration Forums within each Local Authority and grass roots networks.
