Workplace Opportunities

Action 1 - Work Placement Opportunities in the Dublin Local Authorities

The Year One objectives of the project include an undertaking by the four local authorities to facilitate suitable workplace opportunities in each authority, limited to 3 commencing at the latest in September 2011. By making these work placement opportunities available the Project aims to enhance employability skills of third country nationals and develop the diversity of each Local Authority's work force.

The work placements are being rolled out in three Local Authorities (Fingal, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and Dublin City) based on a model already piloted by South Dublin County Council and ongoing within that Local Authority.

Each placement will last 10 weeks and on successful completion of the placement each participant will have valuable experience of an Irish workplace and a reputable Irish reference.
